Our precious daughter Amy was born sleeping at 24weeks and 2days. She has a big sister and parents who miss her very much. She is always with us.
She was a real fighter and we couldn't believe she managed to make it as far as she did given all the pregnancy complications... when born she weighed just under a pound (444g) and was 10.5inches long - she was absolutely tiny. The midwife put a little dress on her (specially made for this reason - there's no way baby clothes would have fit her) and took her hand and foot prints. She and the nurse tried to get a lock of her hair but it was too short - she had black hair but it was very, very fine. They also took some pics. The nurse and midwife were absolutely wonderful - I couldn't have asked for more understanding people to have been there.
